Learn About Burning And Storing Your Soy Candles

ANGOLA ~ Soy wax candles from AromaSoy by Grazia used to just be available through other merchants and online, but all that's changed now that Grazia Wilson, the owner and candlemaker, decided to open a storefront last month.

"After much thought, as well as repeated requests by loyal local customers, AromaSoy by Grazia has decided to open their location at 205 W. Harcourt, Suite C, for retail sales," Wilson said.

AromaSoy by Grazia specializes in premium, scented, unique, custom-blended and designed, hand-poured soy/botanical wax candles in containers designed to use long after the candle's flame has expired.

"What you won't find are the same common jars and labels used for the majority of soy/natural wax candles on the market today," Wilson said. This gives customers added value by allowing them to also enjoy the container for many years after the candle is gone.

By offering more than just a functional candle, Wilson said, her candles "are appealing for gifts and special occasions."

Hand-painted, signed and dated originals are from the Vineyard, Café Parisian, Hoosierland Farms and AromaArt Collections. Some candles in the Vineyard Collection come in hand-painted Libbey wine goblets and 55 ounce ice buckets, and feature wine-themed aromas. Other candles are poured into gourmet coffee mugs and feature coffee shop scents.

"(These candles) become functional glassware afterwards since natural wax cleans up with soap and water," Wilson said.

Some candles are also poured into metal-domed, lidded, hand-painted or beaded frosted apothecary jars.

Also available are custom designed, personalized hand-painted wedding candles that are personalized and made to order in bridal colors, along with wedding favors and bridesmaid gifts.

"Natural wax candles not only burn cleaner with less soot, but can burn longer as well, making them a better value in the long run," Wilson said.

AromaSoy by Grazia's candles are richly infused with more than double the industry standard amount of fragrance.

The various collections of AromaSoy by Grazia candles can be viewed online at www.aromasoy-by-grazia.com and are available at the retail location for immediate purchase or special orders. Vineyard Collection Gift baskets will also be available.

Store hours at AromaSoy by Grazia will be 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Friday. It is open this Saturday only from 9 a.m. to noon.
